This collection contains the records from the office of the Assistant Chancellor of University Relations at the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee. The majority of the records date from the late 1970s and are comprised of budget planning documents, corespondence, letters, memos, minutes, and personnel files. These records document the activities of University Relations which include public relations with the departments of the university, the surrounding community, and local government. The WPA + 35 Exhibition, January 4-30, 1970, presented by the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee was a tribute to the crafts and quality of design which came of the Milwaukee Handicraft Project. The Project began in the Fall of 1935. It was one of the more unusual and diverse of the handicraft projects in its philosophy and its goals.
